Worldshop Mango

Jyväskylän Kehitysmaayhdistys (association for developing countries) was founded in 1987. Since then it has been an active Fair Trade fore-runner in Central Finland. The main goal of association’s action is to reduce poverty in developing countries by promoting more equal trade. Association informs people about structural problems in international trade and the possibilities that Fair Trade has to offer. Members take part in different events and campaigns and visit local schools. Association also runs Worldshop Mango.

Wordlshop Mango is a not-for-profit shop specialized in Fair Trade products. Shop is ran by team of volunteers. The idea is to offer local consumers a possibility to make ethically and ecologically sustainable choices. At Mango You can find Fairtrade labeled products as well as other products produced by Fair Trade standards. Products come mainly from small, marginalized producers living in the poorest areas of Latin America, Asia and Africa.

There are about 20 Worldshops in Finland. They are all committed to follow the same Fair Trade principles in their actions.
